Design: Traditional vs. Plastic Objects

Plastic has become a widely used material that has replaced traditional materials such as wood and ivory, due to its advantages and the constant demand for products made from it. However, this shift is not always irreversible and has been driven by the evolution of science and the development of new plastic materials with unique characteristics and possibilities. In this research, we will discuss the design evolution of plastic objects such as chairs, medical implants, and aerospace components, and how the integration of plastic with other materials has shaped the design of everyday objects. We will also explore how plastic has influenced the design of traditional materials like ceramics and the creation of unique objects.
