ISCTE - Instituto Universitário de Lisboa (https://www.iscte-iul.pt) is a Portuguese public university created in 1972, dedicated to the areas of Management and Economics, Humanities, Social Sciences and Public Policy, ICT and Architecture, ranked among the best young universities in the world >150 (THE Ranking) and, in 2022, obtained environmental certification by the ISO 14001:2015 standard. Associated with MoPRA is CIES-Iscte - Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology (https://cies.iscte-iul.pt/np4/34/), which is a research unit in the area of social sciences. Dedicated to the study of contemporary social problems from a multidisciplinary perspective, his main area is sociology, but he has very relevant activity in public policy, political science, communication, education, modern and contemporary history and social work. The Centre participates in numerous nationally and Europeanly funded projects and networks and manages 7 PhD programmes.
CIES-Iscte is one of the eight research units of Iscte and integrates with five other units the Sociodigital Lab for Public Policy (https://sociodigitallab.iscte-iul.pt); the remaining units - CRIA-Iscte and IT-Iscte - are part of the Laboratory for Research and Innovation in Heritage, Arts, Sustainability and Territory (IN2PAST) and the Institute of Telecommunications (IT), respectively.
